Attorney General's Conference to Focus on Veterans Legal Advocacy

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and the Buckeye Council of the Vietnam Veterans of America will be co-sponsoring a December conference on veterans legal advocacy. Titled "Defending Veterans in the Criminal Justice System," the one-day conference will take place on Thursday, December 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at the Columbus Police Academy Lecture Hall, 1000 North Hague Avenue in Columbus.

Attorney General DeWine Announces that Ohio will Receive $500,000 in Settlement of Allegations State Medicaid was Overcharged for Medicine

Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that Ohio has joined with other states and the federal government to settle allegations that AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP and Cephalon Inc. overcharged the state Medicaid health care programs for drugs.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against a Buffalo, N.Y., debt collector accused of harassing and misleading Ohioans. The lawsuit is part of a nationwide enforcement effort against illegal debt collection practices.

More than 9,000 Sexual Assault Kits Tested as part of Attorney General DeWine's Sexual Assault Kit Testing Initiative

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that forensic scientists with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have now tested more than 9,000 sexual assault kits as part of a special initiative to test rape kits that had never been tested for DNA.

Eight Indicted in Connection with Multi-County Drug Trafficking Organization

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Ashland County Prosecutor Christopher Tunnell, Ashland County Sheriff E. Wayne Risner, the Medina County Drug Task Force, and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced today that eight individuals have been indicted in connection with a drug trafficking organization operating in Ashland, Medina, and Wayne counties.
