On 05/01/1997, forty-six year old Everette Templeton was at Vicky’s Bar on East Market Street and became involved in a verbal confrontation with several unknown suspect(s). Templeton was later assaulted by unknown suspect(s) with a brick at 1454 Chippewa Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and Templeton was uncooperative and did not want any police involvement reference this incident. Templeton was later found deceased at his home at 480 Brittain Road on 05/08/1997. His death was determined to be due to injuries he suffered during the assault which occurred on 05/01/1997.
