The Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission strongly recommends that the attached deadly force lesson plan and your agency policy is covered each year during your agency’s annual requalification. This short review of constitutional deadly force is provided as a supplement to the requalification course of fire. An additional option you may utilize is the Ohio Attorney General online training course, Use of Force, Liability, and Standards. The online course is available at www.OHLEG.org , through eOPOTA, under the Legal Issues course category.
