On Monday, February 06, 2017, at approximately 9:47 a.m., C.P.D. Officers and C.F.D. Medics were dispatched to 787 Canonby Place on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found the victim, 25yr old Martell Stewart in the parking lot, between 793 and 787 Canonby Place, laying on the ground between two parked vehicles, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported, by C.F.D. Medic #3, to Mount Carmel West Hospital with "life-threatening" injuries. At approximately 10:27 a.m. the victim succumbed to his injuries.
