On March 17, 2012 at approximately 9:54 am, officers were dispatched to 1833 South Yellow Springs Street on the report of a person being shot at that location. Upon arrival, officers located 43yr old Chris Dearmond Sr on the floor of the barber shop with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, but did not survive the attack.
