What consumers need to know to protect themselves and their wallets

It’s a sad fact of life.
Swindlers, identity thieves, con artists, scammers, grifters, sharks — they’re out there looking to line their pockets at your expense. Learn how to best protect yourself!

As part of National Consumer Protection Week, a representative from the Consumer Protection Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office will visit the following locations to provide information about the warning signs of scams and frauds, the legal protections that consumers are entitled to, and the services that the Attorney General offers.

The Ohio Attorney General is proud to join government and nonprofit organizations across the country to celebrate National Consumer Protection Week, a coordinated campaign that encourages consumers nationwide to take full advantage of their consumer rights and to make better-informed decisions. National Consumer Protection Week occurs each year during the first full week of March.
