Close Call Reporting

The purpose of the Ohio Attorney General’s Close Call Reporting Database is to document and share close calls to help prevent more serious issues in the future.

Any close call submissions will be used solely for those purposes. A close call report is a situation that could have happened but did not or a situation that could have been worse. Reports of serious incidents and/or criminal behavior should not be submitted to the CCRD. If such reports are received, they will be forwarded to applicable agencies for further investigation. Additionally, if an incident is currently under investigation, it should not be submitted.
