On Thursday August 10, 2017 at approximately 9:05 p.m., the Columbus Division of Police received a call and were requested to respond to the area of Columbus and Oakwood. The initial information indicated that a person was shot. A male victim later identified as 27yr old Deshawn L. Marable was transported to Grant Medical Center by CFD Medic 15. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:28 p.m.
