On March 3, 1998 the victim, 63 year old Sammie Justice, was found deceased in his home located at 162 Bronson Street by other family members that resided within the home. There was no sign of forced entry into the premises and all doors leading into the home appeared to be intact and locked. Mr. Justice's cause of death resulted from multiple stab wounds.
