On August 24, 2021, at 2:26am, Columbus Police Officers were called to the area of Lakeside S and Shore Blvd E on a male "down and out laying in the parking lot". Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, 55yr old William Harris who was unresponsive and appeared to be suffering from a gunshot injury. CFD Engine 23 responded and pronounced the victim deceased at 2:38am.
