On January 7, 2017 at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Columbus Division of Police received a call that a person was reported shot near 1251 Simpson Dr. After the first responding officers arrived, a victim was located in the street in front of 1251 Simpson Dr. The victim, 35yr old Karim Underdown did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:29 p.m. by the responding Columbus Division of Fire Medics.
