Details

On the night of November 18, 1977, two males entered the A & A Bait Company at 410 Whittier Street. The two males brandished weapons and demanded money from 59 year old Anna Stepp, who was working behind the counter. A struggle ensued and Anna was shot in the torso. The males then fled the area. Anna succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. This remains an open investigation.
