On May 29, 2022, at approximately 6:59am, officers were dispatched to the 2100 Block of Hamilton Ave on the report of shots fired. Officers arrived at scene and found the victim, 62yr old Lawrence Smith III, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Columbus Fire EMS 13 arrived at scene and pronounced the victim deceased at 7:11am.
