On Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:10PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 2000 block of Argyle Dr. on a ShotSpotter alert. While the officers were en route, the Emergency Communications Center received a report of two people shot at that location. On arrival, officers found 24-year-old Neal Smith and a 34-year-old female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 20 transported Smith to OSU East Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:58PM.
