On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 10:54PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 600 block of Gilbert St. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 8 responded and pronounced the male deceased at 11:01PM. The victim was identified as 43yr old Steven Simpson.
