Details

On November 22, 2021, at approximately 9:27pm, officers were dispatched to the 4300 Block of Malin Dr. W on a report of shots fired. Officers responded to the area and found the victim, 34yr old Derrick Samuels suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until Columbus Fire Medic #24 arrived. The victim was transported to Riverside Hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:49am.
