On 09/09/1970 in the early morning hours, Georg Ann Reiter and a friend stopped off at a park on State Route 128 in St. Clair Township. While at the park, Georg Ann was shot multiple times by a .22 caliber Rifle. Georg Ann Reiter's friend was also shot. Georg Ann later passed away due to the injuries sustained from the gunshots.
