Details

On 12/06/1984, Gloria Pointer was on her way to school and had telephoned a girlfriend about plans to meet before going to school. When the friend and the victim did not meet, the friend called the victim's mother to ask if she was going to school. The victim's mother stated she had already gone to school and in the process of the mother reporting the incident to the police the victim's body was found. A tall black male thin in stature was observed in the company of the victim and they went to the rear of an apartment building where the victim was later found. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt trauma impacts to the upper torso and head. The weapon used was a 45 inch piece of angle iron that weighed approximately 8 pounds.
