On April 8, 2021, at approximately 5:21 am, Columbus Division of Police Radio Room received a 911 call from a female who stated that there was a female outside yelling and screaming. When Patrol officers arrived, they found the victim, 32yr old Sade Payne partially clothed and suffering from a gunshot wound. Ms. Payne was transported to Riverside Methodist hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
