On July 26, 2020, at approximately 2:12 AM, Patrol Officers were dispatched to E. 5th Avenue and Joyce Avenue on the report of a shooting. Patrol Officers arrived within moments of the call and found that the actual scene was at 1420 E. 5th Avenue, the “Story Lounge”. Two victims were found by Patrol Officers suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Grant Medical Center, 21yr old Dalan Wellman was pronounced dead at 3:37 p.m.
