On April 30, 2016, at 8:02 a.m., District Four officers responded to 1619 California Avenue for a report of a person down in the park. Upon arrival, police officers and Fire Department personnel located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. He has been identified as 18yr old Leron Lovett.
