On 8/8/2020, at approximately 4:46AM, Patrol Officers were dispatched to 1843 Parsons Avenue, Apartment 401, on the report that a person was shot. Moments prior to this incident, Officers were dispatched to several, ShotSpotter alerts in the area with multiple gunshots being fired. The victim from 1843 Parsons Avenue, 64yr old Ellen Lakey, was struck by a stray bullet while she was in her apartment. Ms. Lakey was transported to an area hospital by CFD Medic 14 in critical condition and succumbed to her injury at 5:19AM.
