Raymond L. Kreitzer's body was found by some local canoe riders in the Mad River, near the mouth of Buck Creek on May 30, 1998. Mr. Kreitzer had been in the water for quite some time. On December 30, 1997 a relative reported him missing. Mr. Kreitzer lived in a wooded area north of Route 41, along the river. He shared a camper with John Campbell, whose body was found just north of Kreitzer's body in the river. Both men had been shot. Mr. Kreitzer left behind a grieving family, including two daughters.
