On Monday, May 16, 2022, at 2:39AM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the west bound lanes of State Route 104 at Haul Rd. on a report of a motor vehicle accident. On arrival, officers found a vehicle which had struck the barrier in the median. A short distance from the wrecked vehicle officers located the decedent, 33-year-old Brandon Joiner, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Franklin Township Engine 192 responded and pronounced Joiner deceased at 2:53AM.
