On January 31, 1991, the victim, 21-year old Dennis Harris, was found laying face down outside of Fifth Quarter Lounge at 2248 Ashland Avenue bleeding from the mouth. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. There was a fight that took place in the bar and the managers tried to break it up when shots were fired and Mr. Harris was struck in the chest.
