On January 7, 2019, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Columbus Police officers were called to 3471 Kimberly Avenue on the report of a male not breathing inside the residence. Upon arrival, Officers found an unresponsive male lying on the floor inside the residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. C.F.D. Medic 16 arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim, later identified as 39yr old Andre Lamar Franks, deceased at 7:26 p.m.
