On September 3, 2017 at approximately 10:31 p.m., Columbus Police officers were called to 478 S. Weyant Avenue on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers did locate the victim, later identified as 24yr old Lavan Theodore Davis, in front of the address suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 21 arrived at the scene and transported Mr. Davis to Grant Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 10:58 p.m.
