On March 27, 2017, at approximately 2:46 a.m., Columbus Police officers were called to the Waffle House at 1405 N. Cassady Avenue, on the report of a shooting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as 29yr old Corey La-Paul Brown, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. CFD Medic 20 responded to the scene and pronounced Mr. Brown deceased at 2:54 a.m
