On May 23, 2016 at approximately 2:52 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to the Waffle House at 1405 N. Cassady Avenue on the report of a male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, the officers found the male, later identified as 29yr old Chase H. Breitigam, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medic 8 arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at 3:06 a.m.
