New online portal

COMING SOON: New e-filing system for tobacco product manufacturers

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is pleased to announce plans to introduce an online certification-filing system for tobacco product manufacturers: the OHCig Certification Portal.

This new tool is intended to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the certification processes. Although there are likely to be questions and unexpected challenges the first time that manufacturers use the portal, we are confident that those companies will quickly come to appreciate the resulting time savings and workflow improvements.

UPDATE 4/1/2025: Due to an unexpected delay to address website-security issues, the OHCig Portal will not go live until later this year. This extra time is needed to ensure that the new portal is secure for all users.

In the interim, PMs should follow the existing certification process. The updated certification forms are available on our Forms page.  All companies should complete and return their 2025 annual certification forms by April 30 to the Attorney General’s Office by email to TobaccoEnforcement@OhioAGO.gov.
