Investigation of Collisions Involving Motorcycles
This three day course is for officers who investigate motorcycle involved traffic collisions. Topics covered in this course of instruction include an introduction to motorcycles, motorcycle dynamics, motorcycle braking, motorcycle helmets, and the investigation of collisions. Students will learn mathematical formulas to determine speed, time and distance. Demonstrations of motorcycles maneuvering, accelerating, braking, and skidding will be included in the course. Students will need a scientific calculator and will participate in outside exercises.
Prerequisite: Traffic Collision Investigation (Level I) or equivalent course.
