Investigation and Reconstruction of Pedestrian and Bicycle Involved Collisions
This five day course is for officers who investigate and reconstruct traffic collisions involving pedestrians and bicycles. Instruction will include pedestrian and bicycle sections the Ohio Revised Code, evidence from the vehicles and the roadway, pedestrian and bicyclist injuries and pedestrian and bicyclist visibility. Students will learn and apply mathematical formulas to determine speed, time, and distance of vehicles and pedestrians. Students will need a calculator and will participate in outside exercises.
Prerequisite: Advanced Traffic Collision Investigation (Level II) is recommended.
