First Responder’s Role in a Barricade, Hostage Or Suicide Situation
This two-day course provides guidance to ofﬁcers responding to critical incidents. Topics include guidelines for the ﬁrst responding ofﬁcer in a critical incident situation, development of agency policies and procedures, communication techniques, setting the tone of the situation, scene management, and ofﬁcer safety.
Note: This program does not train personnel to function as hostage negotiators.
