Precision Rifle Operator
This course is part two of the three part series on the Precision Rifle system. Topics to be covered include: Marksmanship Fundamentals; Care and Maintenance; Shooting Positions (conventional and unconventional); Optic Sight Adjustments; Deployment; Firing Techniques; Use of Cover and Concealment; and Transition Drills. Students can expect to engage targets from 21 feet to beyond 200 yards.
Note: Students are strongly recommended to have passed the Basic Precision Rifle Skills prior to this course.
***Please note that portions of this course are incorporated in the London Campus offering of the 2 week Precision Rifle Operator/Instructor class***
Equipment required: Participants are required to provide a quality Precision Rifle system with optic and sling. A minimum of 250 rounds of MATCH grade ammunition is also required.
*This course is being held at the Portage County Sheriff's Office Training Facility.
