Forensic Aspects of Death Scenes
This 40-hour seminar familiarizes officers with the procedures used to manage death scenes. Students will learn how to identify buried bodies as well as identification and excavation techniques of skeletal remains. Experts in the fields of entomology, archeology and anthropology will present the latest information in their fields. Exercises include excavation of mock graves and the collection of insect specimens and related evidence.
Note: Students should anticipate working outside and be prepared for all types of weather conditions.
