Juvenile Justice System Instructor
This course prepares instructors to teach the Juvenile Justice System (topic # 3-7) of the Peace Officer Basic Training Curriculum and meets one of the requirements for certification. Students will be required to: prepare and teach a lesson plan, create a PowerPoint presentation and use both Problem-Based and Student-Center Learning techniques. Students should bring a laptop computer which supports PowerPoint, and a memory stick. Students should be prepared to complete homework assignments.
Note: It is recommended that students complete an OPOTC-approved Instructional Skills class prior to attending. This course meets part of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission requirements for certification to teach this topic as a Basic Training Instructor.
