The OPOTA Business Office manages academy registration, purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgeting. Among other tasks, the OPOTA Business Office staff process vendor payments, enter and reconcile revenue deposits, distribute monthly budget reports, process purchase orders, manage the tuition credit earned program, enter and update course registrations, and update the POLARIS system with newly developed advanced law enforcement training courses. The Business Office staff work with the OPOTA management team to develop and maintain the academy budget and oversee the contractual obligations of the food service provider. The staff also assist with special projects such as the Annual Law Enforcement Conference and the Annual Ohio Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony.
