The Special Prosecutions Section in the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost seeks to offer prosecutors statewide the support and resources they need to consistently excel in their work.
The section is comprised of seasoned prosecutors, each with experience in at least 20 felony jury trials. Our attorneys have expertise in a wide range of cases, from child abuse, human trafficking and capital murder to financial crimes, drug trafficking/wiretap and public corruption.
We tend to accept cases involving complex issues and higher level offenses. We do not always have the resources to accept lower level offenses.
If your case has not been investigated, please refer the matter to law enforcement for investigation prior to requesting our assistance.
To request assistance of the Special Prosecutions Section, prosecutors should fill out the form below.
Please note: only a court or prosecutor's office has the authority to request assistance through our office.

Once we receive the email, we will check to ensure that the office has no conflicts of interest with the case/matter. If Special Prosecutions is free to accept the case, we will let you know the name of the assigned attorney(s) and ask that you inform the court appointing our office about the assignment. If we are unable to handle the case, you will likewise be notified as quickly as possible.
It is important to follow the steps above when making a request of the Special Prosecutions Section. If you have any questions, please contact Christopher Kinsler.
